CEMTL used its experience in array theory and its analysis tools to provide valuable advice on the tradeoffs in different phased array configurations for our massive antenna system through calculation and simulation. This helped Cambridge Consultants to define and subsequently develop the right array configuration to deliver optimum performance for the delivery of cellular services from high-altitude platforms in the stratosphere.
I have ordered SKALA v2 antennas for my project ‘PeV-Radio’ funded by the European Research Council. We installed a prototype detector station with three such antennas above the IceCube Neutrino Observatory at the South Pole and have successfully measured cosmic-ray air showers with these antennas. They have been a great help in providing all the necessary information we needed. Despite all the difficulties caused by the Covid pandemic, they managed to deliver the antennas just in time when we needed them. Now I am looking forward to install many more antennas at the South Pole during the next years. I can certainly recommend them.

Andrew is a long experienced engineer and company director. He spent many years as Managing Director of Husky Computers Ltd. winning two Queen’s Awards for Industry.
In addition to his position in CEMTL, Paul is an emeritus Professor of Radio Astronomy at Cambridge and long-time Group leader for Astronomy and Astrophysics within the Physics department.
Quentin is an RF engineer at Cambridge Electromagnetic Technology Ltd., specializing in electromagnetic design and modeling.
